It’s getting closer, and the fact that we’re seeing this many RISC-V boards in a single year is progress in itself, but we’re not at the point where I’d recommend one over an ARM board for anything other than architecture-specific interest. I’m not a hater, though, don’t get me wrong. I love the fast progress and the competition it’s slowly starting to offer. 2026 has already shown some promising new releases (with the Spacemit K3-based boards like the Milk-V Jupiter) so keep your eyes peeled.
